CBSE NEET 2018 Exam in May | Online Application Form to Release by January

CBSE NEET 2018 to be conducted in the month of May while its online application form is likely to release in January.  All candidates who wish to seek admission in any of the medical colleges of India should now pull up their socks for the preparations as the council conducting the National Eligibility- cum- Entrance Test (NEET) 2018 tentative dates are out.

Though the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has not confirmed the dates for NEET 2018, the rumors are rife that the all India level medical examination will be held in the first week of May. 

CBSE NEET 2018 Exam to be conducted in May 

It is expected that the CBSE NEET 2018 will be scheduled on 10 May i.e on Thursday. Not only this, it is also rumored that the admission process by the Medical Council of India (MCI) of the students seeking medical and dental courses will be completed by August 18, 2018. As published in English daily, the MCI officials confirmed the admission of the medical and dental students will begin from July 10 on the basis of the CBSE NEET 2018 results while the results of the same will be declared by the first week of June 2018.

Controversies related to CBSE NEET in past

Ever since the NEET has started, it has always been a part of the controversy. The NEET conducting council CBSE along with the candidates appearing for it have faced many glitches. Sometimes it was the row over dress code or Tamil Nadu’s anti-NEET protest that had created many problems in the past. Last year, in the year 2017, CBSE NEET notification was released in the month of  January on the official website. The educationists and experts are expecting the same pattern for the application process and examination for NEET 2018 this year.

As reported, it is also hinted that admission in the deemed universities for the medical and dental courses will begin from July 10 on the basis of CBSE NEET 2018. Last year, the CBSE NEET was held on May 7, 2017, to fill the vacate 65,170 seats for the MBBS course and 25,730 seats for the BDS courses. As per MCI, 308 dental colleges and 470 medical institutes participated in the admission taking the process of CBSE NEET in the year 2017. Apart from that, a total of 10,90,085 students wrote the paper for CBSE NEET 2017 out of which only 6,11,539 could clear the medical entrance examination and get admission in their respective dental and medical courses.
