Hero MotoCorp is all slated to launch the new Hero Xtreme 200S in India. According to the report, the automaker is likely to launch the new Hero Xtreme 200S in February next year. Since the unveiling of the Xtreme 200S at the last Auto Expo in 2016, it is one of the most anticipated bikes from the company.
The report also suggests that the new bike is most likely to be unveiled after the launch of a new product which Hero MotoCorp is going to introduce next week. Besides these two launches, there are few more products in the premium category that are lined-up for launch in 2018 and 2019.
Hero to launch Xtreme 200S in February 2018
Hero Motocorp, one of the largest two-wheel manufacturer in the country is gearing up the unveiling of the sporty naked motorcycle – Hero Xtreme 200S in the Indian market. The motorcycle manufacturer is likely to showcase the new bike at the upcoming Indian Auto Expo in 2018 at Delhi. The Auto Expo will witness participation of most of the major four wheel and two wheel manufacturers who will be showcasing their concepts as well as new products at the auto expo.
Xtreme 200S is company’s first 200cc bike in the segment
As per the company spokesperson, the launch of the new Xtreme 200S is likely to happen in February next year. It is being speculated that the company will showcase the new bike at the upcoming Auto Expo in Delhi.
The Xtreme 200S is going to be the automaker’s first launch in the 200cc segment since the two-wheeler manufacturer stopped producing the Karizma range. The report mentions that the Xtreme 200S will be the range-topping model in Hero’s product line-up for the Indian market. The new Xtreme 200S will rival the likes of Bajaj Pulsar 200 NS and the newly launched TVS Apache RTR 200.
Though the company has not made any official announcement yet it has been reported that the Xtreme 200S is expected to be launched at a starting price of Rs. 90,000.
Engine and other specifications of the new Hero Xtreme 200S
The Xtreme 200S will be powered by an air-cooled, four stroke 200cc engine. The engine will produce around 18.2 Bhp of power and 17.2 Nm of peak torque. The engine will come mated to a five-speed manual gearbox which will come as standard. The 200cc bike is expected to get disc brakes on both the front and the rear wheels beside the ABS for advance safety.
