Honda Cars to Cost More From January 1, 2018 | Prices to Increase up to Rs 25, 000

As per the report, Honda Cars India Ltd (HCIL) has recently stated that it is all set to increase the prices of its models from January 1, 2018.  The car manufacturer has mentioned that the prices of its cars would go up by up to Rs 25,000 from the beginning of next year.

Honda Cars India Ltd (HCIL) has mentioned that the price rise is to offset the rise in input costs. The company has decided to increase the prices of all its models from January, 2018 and the hike will range between 1-2 per cent which will translate to a maximum of Rs 25, 000.

Honda cars to cost more from January 2018

Honda Cars India Ltd (HCIL) has declared that it will be increasing the prices of all its models. The carmaker is all set to implement the new prices of its cars from January 1, 2018. It has been reported that prices of the Honda cars would go up by up to Rs 25,000 from January next year. The company has stated that the price hike on the cars is to make up for the increase in the input costs on manufacturing. The hike in price will range between 1-2 per cent and the new prices will be declared from January 1, 2018.

Prices of Honda cars in India

It has been reported that Honda Cars India Ltd (HCIL) is increasing the prices of the cars from January 1, 2018 due to increase in the expenditure of the base metals. Currently, Honda Cars India Ltd sells different models in different segments such as hatchback, sedan, SUV and others in India. While company’s hatchback – Honda Brio comes with a price starting at Rs 4.66 lakh (ex-showroom) the costliest product in the Honda lineup in India is the Honda Accord Hybrid which is priced at Rs 43.21 lakh (ex-showroom).

Other car manufacturers too have increased prices 

Recently car manufacturer Isuzu had announced that it will be increasing the prices of its models by up to Rs 1 lakh. Isuzu is currently selling models ranging from Rs 13 lakh to Rs 26 lakh. While the Isuzu V-Cross, adventure utility vehicle comes with a price starting at Rs 13.31 lakh (ex-showroom), its premium SUV – Isuzu mu-X is priced at Rs 25.8 lakh (ex-showroom).

Skoda Auto India is another auto manufacturer that has announced price hike by 2-3 per cent on all the models from January 1, 2018.
