Honeypreet, who recently came into the limelight after she was seen flying with Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh to the Rohtak jail from the special CBI court in Panchkula, Haryana after the latter was convicted in the rape case.
Real people behind the changed names
It appears changing names is one of the very usual occurrences in the dera Sacha Sauda. It was reported that the self-proclaimed god man Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Insaan was born as Harpal Singh who later changed his name. Honeypreet Insaan too followed the footsteps of her so called ‘Pa’ and got her name changed from Priyanka Taneja to Honeypreet Insaan which is believed to have been given by her ‘Best man’ – Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh. According to reports, The bling-guru Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh adopted Priyanka Taneja and gave her the new name Honeypreet Insaan.
More than the father-daughter love
Honeypreet Insan has a litigious past. According to news reports, she married a Dera follower Vishwas Gupta, a well-to-do person in 1999. It was after the marriage that the closeness between Dera chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh and Honeypreet started building up. She came so close to Gurmeet Ram Rahim that in the year 2009 she moved her in-laws to the court in a dowry harassment case.
Vishwas Gupta, Honeypreet’s husband, moved the court in 2011 accusing Gurmeet Ram Rahim of having illicit relations with Honeypreet, his wife. Though Vishwas Gupta initially sought judicial custody of his wife from Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, however, later he withdrew all the cases against the dera chief and got separated from Honeypreet. It is believed that Vishwas Gupta, Honeypreet’s husband, agreed to an out-of-court settlement under pressure.
Some shocking charges
Honeypreet Insaan’s ex-husband claims that Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh had an illegitimate relationship with Honeypreet Insaan, whom he had adopted. Honeypreet’s estranged husband also alleged that after their separation, the Dera chief and Honeypreet Insaan started living together.
Vishwas Gupta also stated that Honeypreet spent quality time with dera Sacha Sauda chief. Gupta revealed that Ram Rahim had bad intentions for Honeypreet but he adopted her because she was beautiful. He exploited her sexually after adopting her as his daughter. He also alleged that both were seen at many places together.
According to a recent report, Honeypreet stayed with Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh in the jail guest house for nearly two hours. This move was highly condemned by several news agencies as according to the jail guidelines, no woman can stay with a male prisoner.
Vishwas Gupta also revealed that Honeypreet Insan was with Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh in the gufa when he inadvertently saw them nude, having sex. Though they were shocked, but Vishwas Gupta was threatened of dire consequences if he dared to reveal anything. He was even threatened that he would be killed!
Vishwas also alleged that Gurmet Ram Rahim Singh adopted Honeypreet Insaan alisa Priyanka on the first day of marriage and the dera chief did not let her sleep with her husband. Even while traveling, dera head would sleep with her adopted daughter Honeypreet in a single room.
Rapist wanted to stay with Honeypreet Insan in Jail as well
It was reported that Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Dera Sacha Sauda head moved an application before the CBI judge seeking the company of Honeypreet Insan, his so-called adopted daughter, in jail as well.
The convict while being taken to the Rohtak jail, pleaded that he requires Honeypreet Insan to be in prison with him. The reason he cited was, Honeypreet Insan is the only one who knows his pains and could take care of his migraine and backache.
On several requests when the CBI judge had refused to entertain Gurmeet’s petition in Panchkula seeking Honeypreet Insaan’s company in jail, the Sunariya prison authorities allowed Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh and Honeypreet Insaan be alone in a slick room in a guest house-turned-temporary prison. It was reported that the father and daughter were in the room for two-and-a-half-hours.
