It is being speculated that this money was utilised to pay supporters to spark a riot in Panchkula following Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh’s conviction in the 15-year-old rape case by the CBI court in Panchkula on August 25.

Honeypreet Insan, Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh’s adopted daughter has been charged for spending 1.25 crore for sparking riots in Panchkula. According to a report, Rakesh Kumar, driver-cum-personal assistant of Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh revealed that Honeypreet Insan gave Rs 1.25 crore for sparking riots in Panchkula.
Rakesh Kumar was being interrogated by the police when he revealed this shocking fact. According to Rakesh Kumar, Honeypreet Insan gave Rs 1.25 crore to a person Chamkaur Singh, who is the branch head of the dera sacha sauda centre in Panchkula, for sparking riots in Panchkula. This amount of Rs 1.25 crore was given to Honeypreet Insan fir sparking riots in Panchkula. The report also mentioned that Honeypreet Insan gave Rs 1.25 crore to the branch head a few days ahead of Gurmeet Ram Rahim’s conviction in the rape cases in Panchkula on August 25.
Honeypreet Insan in police custody
Alike Honeypreet Insan, Rakesh Kumar too is in police custody currently. A day after Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh’s conviction in Panchkula on August 25, Rakesh Kumar took Honeypreet Insan from Rohtak to Sirsa on August 26.
It was earlier this month only when the Haryana police arrested Honeypreet Insan. Dera sacha sauda chief’s ‘adopted daughter’ Honeypreet Insan was arrested on the Panchkula- Zirakpur highway by the police and was produced before a court the following day.
Honeypreet Insan was absconding for more than a month and was last seen when Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh was convicted in Panchkula. She arrested by the Haryana Police along with another woman while they were travelling in an Innova car.
Did Honeypreet spend 1.25 crore for planning of the violence in Panchkula?
According to the commissioner of police, Panchkula confirmed that an amount of Rs 1.25 crore was handed over to Chamkaur Singh, branch head, dera sacha sauda Panchkula but the reasons for handing over this amount is still being investigated.
The police have also confirmed that the broad planning of the violence in Panchkula and other places that erupted following Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh’s conviction on August 25 was planned in the Dera headquarters in Sirsa.
In addition to this, the data from the computer hard disc, which was reported to be formatted by the dera sacha sauda IT team, too has been retrieved by the cyber cell department of Haryana Police. The data has revealed that transaction of crores of rupees was made and more details on the same is under investigation.
