IBPS SO 2017 Exam on December 30 | Check Available Posts & Important Info

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) Specialist Officer (SO) 2017 Prelims is just around the corner and the candidates who wish to appear for the exam must now be doing the last round of their preparations.  The IBPS SO 2017 exam is scheduled for December 30 & 31 for the recruitment of over thousand Specialist Officers for various banks across India. There will be a selection of 1315 Specialist Officers via the process of direct recruitment.

IBPS has released the job posts of 1315 Specialist Officer that will get selected through the direct recruitment process. Job posts available for IBPS SO 2017 exam include -Agriculture Field Officer, Law Officer, HR/ Personnel Officer, Rajyasabha Adhikari Scale I, IT Officer Scale I and Marketing Officer Scale I.

Who all are eligible to appear in the  IBPS SO 2017

Eligibility Criteria for the scale I Specialist Officer of IBPS should have the minimum age limit of 20 years, born before 01.11.1997 and maximum age limit of 30 years born after 02.11.1987.OBC candidates have age relaxation of 3 years to their maximum age while SC/ST candidates have 5 years, PwD has 10 years relaxation and ex-servicemen will have 5 years relaxation along with the Kashmiri domicile holder born between January 1, 1980, to December 31, 1989.

Important dates 

As per the notification released for the IBPS Specialist Officers recruitment 2017, the application for all the posts started back in November while the candidates were asked to download their call letters earlier this month to avoid any type of last minute hassles. Now the IBPS SO 2017 prelims will be conducted online on December 30, and 31, 2017.

The selection board will release the result of the prelims along with the call letter for the IBPS SO Mains exams which will take place in the month of January next year. The Mains will also be conducted online on January 28, 2018, followed by its result and release of call letters for the interview in the month of February 2018. It is also expected that the final interview will take place in the February month itself while the allotments of the post will be done in April 2018, provisionally.
