After Hall Tickets for December 2017, IGNOU to Change Application Process For the Benefit of Students

Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has given respite to the candidates across India who wanted to enroll themselves in the various university programmes. IGNOU has now simplified the application process for those who are from far off places especially, rural locations. IGNOU, which is India’s most sought-after universities that provides distance learning, educational and vocational training courses to millions of working students in India and abroad, has now started Open Service Centres in villages to facilitate students with their IGNOU application process, providing study material and other work.

IGNOU changed application process by starting Open Service Centres

IGNOU has started the open service centres facilitating students who are interested in applying in the various course of IGNOU comfortably from their village itself. Now the students will not have to travel and come to the urban or semi-urban places to enrol themselves in IGNOU. The facility of the open service centres will be taken care off by the administration of IGNOU. Via this open service centres, students can easily download their admit card online under the guidance of the executives deployed there to assist students with the application process.

Why are Open Service Centres started by IGNOU

Earlier, due to lack of internet facility and lack of knowledge were the major factors that led to the inconvenience of the students putting up in far-off villages. But now these open service centres set up by IGNOU will lessen the burden of the students and will help them in hassle-free admissions. Now the IGNOU administration understands the problems faced by the students and has lent their helping hand to them in pursuing any diploma or degree or certificate or any distance learning course easily. A total of 2.50 lakh open service centres are projected to open for the students from villages of India.

The facility of Open Service Centres by IGNOU is introduced in cooperation with the Ministry of Information and Technology. The Ministry is determined to establish over two lakh fifty thousand such centres in villages across India.

These open service centres aim at facilitation IGNOU enrolled students to stay in their homeland and do jobs. Not only this, the open service centres will assist students in filling up the IGNOU’s online application forms, getting study material and other things related to their programme.
