Jeep has finally taken the curtains off of its most famous SUV the Jeep Wrangler at a private event in Los Angeles. The new generation car gets a whole lot of changes all of which might make it to the India spec model. Jeep entered the Indian car market in 2016 officially and the Jeep has been on sale in India ever since at a price of 55-65 lakh Rupees. The already capable off roader gets a host of new features that put it right in line with the other modern SUVs in 2017. The Jeep Wrangler will make its way to India with a new set of diesel and petrol power trains sometime next year.
What features does the new 2018 Jeep Wrangler get?
The new generation car looks undoubtedly a Jeep Wrangler but still manages to spice up a lot of things in the looks department. It gets a new front grille which is apparently more aerodynamic and houses a set of LED headlamps which include daytime running LEDs inside the setup itself. Jeep has also provided another set up daytime running LEDs in the front bumper which work together with the one in the main headlight of the Wrangler.
The fender is now redesigned which uplifts the masculine look of the car. Speaking about the tyres, the Jeep Wrangler gets both 17-inch and 18-inch options depending on the model. Since the car is built on a new platform altogether it is now wider and offers more space on the inside along with being lighter than the previous generation.
Jeep has also managed to make the interior of the Wrangler a lot more premium and it now comes with a huge infotainment system equipped with Apple Carplay, Android Auto, and Satellite Navigation. Customisations options still remain widely available and there is also a variant with all red interior. The Jeep Wrangler will take off-roading capabilities of the previous generation car a notch higher with 4 wheel high, 4 wheel low and 4 wheel auto modes on offer.
India Launch and Price of the Jeep Wrangler
The Jeep Wrangler has just been unveiled in the American Market and is not officially on sale as of yet. The India launch is certain but might not happen till late 2018. The pricing of the Wrangler will be a major hurdle for Jeep as the pricing of the outgoing model is pretty steep here in India. That might change however, if the car is manufactured here in India itself. We hope the Jeep Wrangler does a compass like trick and leaves everyone surprised.
