National flag is the epitome of patriotism that unfurls the saga of valour and martyrdom of the soldiers who laid their lives to protect India. Since time immemorial, our national flag has embarked many battles of the modern history of India.
After Chandigarh, its Mohali’s turn to adorn the city with the glorious Indian flag on one of its prime locations of the town. The flag will be 100 foot tall and will be visible from the top of any buildings of the Mohali. With its installation, Mohali will fall into the list of Indian cities that have 100 feet tall India Flag that flutters up high at an angle from where one can have a bird’s eye view.
Location of the Indian Flag in Mohali
The Tricolor is likely to get installed at the Verka Chowk in Phase VI just adjacent to the Mohali Municipal Corporation. As published in The Tribune, Rajesh Dhiman, Municipal Commissioner, said that the installation of Indian flag will take another two months or so as they are yet to decide the place. The Mohali MC has options of two-three locations out of which the final location will be decided after consulting Mayor Kulwant Singh.
