Karwa Chauth 2018: Indian Women are all set to celebrate Karva Chauth on 27 October 2018. Mostly women from North India use to celebrate the festival of karwa Chauth by keeping a fast whole day for the long life of her husband. As per the Hindu calendar, Karwa Chauth is celebrated in India in the month of Karthik, 4 days after the full moon day (purnima).

Karva Chauth and Why it’s been Celebrated?

Most of the married women in North India use to hast fast without having food and water (Nirjala vrat) for the Karwa Chauth. Likewise every year, Women will have Karva Chauth fast for the year 2018 on 27 October. It has been believed that women use to have this vrat (fast) for the wellness of their life partner (Husband). According to history, karva mean pot and Chauth means fourth in Hindi.

Women who use to keep the fast of Karwa Chauth, use to first have sargi early in the morning before the sunrise. Then no intake of food and water have to be taken by the Women in the day. Then she uses to listen to the traditional stories of Karwa Chauth vrat. After the rise of the moon at night, the women who had the fast have to watch the face of her husband. Then she has to drink water by the hands of her beloved husband to complete her Karwa Chauth fast for the year 2018. Also, the non-married girls use to keep the vrat for her fiancee as well.

According to the report, Karwa Chauth 2018 Puja Mahurat will start from 5:36 pm to 6:53 Pm on 27 October 2018. SUbh Maurat of Karwa Chauth puja for the year 2018 will be in between 5:36 pm to 6:53 Pm. Whereas the total time of the Puja for Karva Chauth vrat will be of 1 hour and 17 minutes for the year 2018. Also, the moon will rise around 7.55 Pm on the day of Karva Chauth i.e 27 October 2018.
