Kevin Pietersen comments on England’s overwhelming victory against New Zealand

Kevin Pietersen congratulates England for their massive 3-0 Test Series victory against New Zealand in his latest write-up.

Kevin talks about the cultural change Eoin Morgan brought over England’s Cricket in 2015 and mentioned Brendon’s great character.

Kevin is also happy to see his fellow players have no fear of losing which most often leads to victory.

Proud of Jonny Bairstow

Kevin views Test cricket as an opportunity to score quickly because there are so many gaps in the field. But he was amazed to see Jonny Bairstow play daring shots of the game’s shorter forms in the Test arena. Thanks to this cultural change, Eoin brought.

Kevin predicts that England will score huge total scores if the team continues to play with this mindset. Joe Root with Alex Lees and Ollie Pope are quietly improving on the sidelines. Soon, England might score 500-550 in a single day, predicts Kevin Peteresen.

Problem with New Zealand

Kevin was also surprised to see that New Zealand won the World Test Championship.

Kevin meant no disrespect to Kiwis. However, New Zealand needs to make some efforts. Except for Kane Williamson, New Zealand does not have star quality, and Trent Boult needs the ball to be swinging, commented Kevin.

Daryl Mitchell is in the best shape of his life, but he needs to stay there for a little longer to be ranked among the best batters.

Kevin mentioned that Tim Southee isn’t in the same league as the best fast bowlers, and Michael Bracewell was an average spinner.

Winning Against India will not be easy as New Zealand

England had effective bowling against New Zealand. However, the situation would be completely different in Birmingham considering a batting order that includes Rohit, Pujara, Virat, and other skillful players, said Kevin.

He further added that India’s pace attack is lethal, it’s going to be a challenge for English batsmen to counter that attack.

Cricket in England has transformed thanks to Eoin Morgan

Kevin talks about how the England Test team improved by using Morgan’s playstyle.

Thanks to the legacy left behind by white-ball captain Morgan, creating a culture to support talent and prioritizing entertainment in English Cricket.

Kevin also mentions how Morgan trusted his team and had their support. Morgan also developed a winning culture by winning the World Cup Final.

Now England has a group of white ball superstars ready to continue Morgan’s teaching. Maybe now is the ideal time for him to retire, thinks Kevin.

Kevin also backs Jos Buttler as the next captain of the English team, and there are no doubts about his abilities. Jos Buttler is very calm and relaxed and can make calculated decisions.

Kevin says the upcoming T20 and ODI series against India will be Buttler’s biggest upcoming challenge.
