India’s largest insurance company, Life Insurance Corporation of India, has recently stated that insurance holders need to link their Aadhaar number and PAN card details to the LIC Policies. The corporation has stated that all the life insurance holders would need to link their Aadhaar number as well as PAN card details with the policies By December 31, 2017.
The Life Insurance Corporation of India is offering various platforms to its consumers to link their Aadhaar number and PAN card details with the LIC policies. The LIC holder can link the required documents online as well as offline.

After linking Aadhaar card with Bank accounts, Mobile numbers, Gas connections, and other important documents the Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) has also made it mandatory to link the Aadhaar number and PAN details to your LIC policies. The move, as stated by LIC, is in accordance with a government directive.
The last date to link Aadhaar and PAN with LIC policies is December 31. The corporation (LIC) is offering both online and offline modes for linking the Aadhaar and PAN details to LIC policies in India.
How to link Aadhaar and PAN details with LIC policy Offline
To link Aadhaar and PAN card details to LIC policy, the policy holder can visit the nearest LIC branch offices to fulfill the formalities. The corporation has given a link on its official website to download a form. It is mandatory for the policy holder to fill this form for linking Aadhaar Number and PAN to his/her LIC policies.
The LIC policy holder will have to fill in the all the information ie. policy numbers, policy and personal details before submitting the form. The policy holder also needs to submit the duly completed Aadhaar card and PAN card Mandate Form along with the self-attested copy of both the documents – Aadhaar card and PAN Card / Form No.60 at the nearest LIC Branch.

To link the Aadhaar and PAN details with the LIC policy holder’s policy the policy holder needs to visit LIC’s official website – Licindia.in and click on the button to link the two mandatory documents. It has been mentioned on the website that the policy holder needs to keep the Aadhaar Card and PAN card handy along with the list of policies to update the same without any any delay. Follow the guidelines and the policy holder will be able to link both Aadhaar Card as well as PAN card to their LIC policies.
Avoid fraudulent calls, messages
Link your Aadhaar and PAN to your LIC policies by December 31. This is according to a government directive, LIC said. LIC is offering both online as well as offline facility to its policy holders for linking Aadhaar and PAN.
The corporation (LIC) has mentioned that currently, there is no way to link Aadhaar number to the policy holder’s policy. If the policy holder receives a message asking for his/her personal details and policy number to link to the account, they must NOT share any information. The corporation has cautioned its policyholders to check all the required details with the nearest LIC offices before sharing their personal information to avoid any fraud.
