As per the report, a longer variant of the Mahindra TUV 300 is slated to be launched in India soon. Christened as Mahindra TUV 300 Plus, the longer Plus model of Mahindra has been spotted recently and it is expected to be introduced in India soon. As per the report, the new longer Mahindra TUV 300 Plus is expected to get a different sitting capacity as compared to the existing Mahindra TUV 300.
New Longer Mahindra TUV 300 Plus to be Launched in India Soon
The homegrown automaker is tightening its grip over the UV segment and the latest launch will further strengthen its position in the market. According to the report, three utility vehicles from the Mahindra and Mahindra stable made it to the list of top 10 Utility Vehicles.
The UV segment is fast proliferating in India and Mahindra & Mahindra is all set to tighten its grip on the segment with the new longer version of its Mahindra TUV300- the Mahindra TUV300 Plus. It is likely that the upcoming Mahindra TUV 300 Plus will replace the Mahindra Xylo.
Engine and sitting capacity of the Mahindra TUV 300 Plus
The new Mahindra TUV 300 Plus is likely to get the 4-cylinder, mHawk D120 1.99-litre diesel engine. The same diesel engine is currently being used in the Scorpio and the XUV 500. The mHawk D120 1.99-litre diesel engine was introduced in the Mahindra Scorpio and the Mahindra XUV 500 during the ban on high capacity diesel engines in Delhi NCR last year.
The mHawk D120 1.99-litre diesel engine churns out max power of 121.5PS and 280Nm of peak torque. The new Mahindra TUV 300 Plus UV is likely to come mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. It is being speculated that the automaker may also introduce the AMT variant of the new Mahindra TUV 300 Plus. In addition to the mHawk D120 1.99-litre diesel engine, the new Mahindra TUV 300 Plus is also likely to get the 1.5 diesel unit which is currently powering the present TUV 300.
Variants and price of the Mahindra TUV 300 Plus
As per the report, the longer model of the Mahindra TUV 300, the TUV 300 Plus that is slated to be launched in India soon will be a nine-seater MUV (Multi Utility Vehicle). Christened as the latest variant of Mahindra TUV 300 has been spotted testing on the roads recently. The production version of the Mahindra TUV 300 Plus which will be a nine-seater MUV is reported to be launched with a 1.99-litre diesel engine.
Currently, the under-4m Mahindra TUV 300 is being offered in 10 variants. It is expected that the new Mahindra TUV 300 Plus will also be offered in similar variants which may carry different names. The existing TUV 300 is priced between Rs 7.66 lakh – 10.68 lakh and the prices for the new Mahindra TUV 300 Plus is likely to be priced Rs 30,000-40,000 over the present prices of the Mahindra TUV 300.
