The facelift 2018 Mahindra XUV500 gets an all-black theme dashboard and tan-coloured leather upholstery. It has been beautifully merged with quilted cross-stitching that adds to the appeal of the cabin. The faux-leather-like soft-touch material gives the dashboard a plush stance. The centre console of the SUV gets some faux-aluminium and piano-black trim. Most of these features will come standard across all the variants of the SUV but sporty aluminium pedals will be offered in the higher variants of the Mahindra XUV500. It is likely that Mahindra & Mahindra will also update the infotainment unit with the new variant.

Under the hood changes and competition

As per the report, the XUV500 facelift will get an upgraded version of the 2.2-litre turbo-diesel motor which is currently powering the motor. The tuned engine is expected to offer more power and torque figures than the outgoing variant.  The facelift Mahindra XUV500 will take on the likes of top-end models of the Hyundai Creta and the Jeep Compass. Mahindra may launch the SUV soon but it has not yet revealed the date for the same.
