New Maruti Suzuki Dzire Remains the Best Selling Car in India in its Segment | Here What makes Dzire so Popular

The list of top 10 selling passenger cars for the month of November is out and India’s largest car manufacturer, Maruti Suzuki, has seized the top six positions in the list. Models of only two companies have successfully made it to the list second being the second largest car manufacturer in the country – Hyundai Motors. While Maruti Suzuki has 7 cars in the list of top 10 selling cars in India, Hyundai occupies 3 positions.

Maruti Suzuki Dzire is the best selling car in India in the segment

In the list of top selling passenger vehicles in India Maruti Suzuki has had yet another successful month. Out of total 10 cars, seven cars are from the Maruti Suzuki stable. The Indo-Japanese car manufacturer had a clean sweep and occupied top six positions.

While Maruti Suzuki’s entry-level hatchback – Alto reigned on the top position, its compact sedan, the new Dzire registered a sale of 22,492 units and retained the second position in the list. The entry level hatchback, Maruti Suzuki Alto sold 24, 166 units to retain the top position.

The next generation Maruti Suzuki Dzire that was launched in India with a brand new exterior, improved and attractive features, reliable powertrains retained the top spot for consecutive two months and is on the second position for the last two months. The sale figures clearly forecast that the most popular compact sedan will retain the second spot in the list of top 10 selling cars in India for the coming months as well.

These are the vehicles that made it to the list of top 10 selling cars in India

Maruti Suzuki’s hot hatchback Baleno occupied the third spot with 17,769 units, while the only subcompact SUV from the automaker got the fourth position in the list with 14, 458 units. Maruti’s big hatchback Wagon R registered a monthly sales figures of 14,038 units and occupied the fifth spot while the popular Swift kept the momentum swinging with 13, 337 units sold. It is being speculated that the sale of Maruti Suzuki Swift is reducing comparatively as the company is all set to unveil and next generation Swift at the 2018 Auto Expo in Delhi.

While the seventh, eighth and ninth positions went to the significant garners of Hyundai Motors – Grand i10 and the Elite i20 with 13,249 and 10,236 units sold respectively its compact SUV Hyundai Creta occupied the ninth spot by registering a sale of 8, 528 units. The last on the list was the Maruti Suzuki Celerio that lost two places from the last month with 8, 437 units sold in the month of November.
