Maruti Suzuki Ertiga 2018 Facelift Launch Date Nears | New Model Seems Promising

Maruti Suzuki Ertiga 2018 facelift was spotted testing outside New Delhi a few days ago. Maruti was reportedly working on the updated Ertiga a while ago and it seems like they are finally ready with the production model.

Maruti Suzuki Ertiga new features:

The Maruti Suzuki Ertiga that was spied being tested was heavily camouflaged and we could barely notice any changes in the exterior. The first leaked pictures, however, suggest that it is a few millimetres longer than the current generation. This means that the updated Ertiga 2018 by Maruti Suzuki will offer more room on the inside. The comfort has been an issue with the Ertiga which we hope is fixed by Maruti Suzuki with the updated model.

When it comes to the engines, we expect the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga 2018 to sport a 1.4-litre K-series petrol engine. The diesel motor will most likely be the existing 1.3 litre DDis that is sourced from FIAT. However, there are reports that Maruti is working with a new 1.5 litre diesel engine for its compact SUVs and we hope Maruti debuts the engine with the facelifted ERTIGA as it feels underpowered for its size. The diesel engine will be boon to the owners when driving with seven passengers.

Maruti Suzuki Ertiga 2018 new model:

The Maruti Ertiga debuted India in 2012 and has been a consistent seller ever since.

Maruti however, did not update the car and it started to feel a little outdated. The price it comes at though is very competitive and it sells more than any other car in comparison. The Maruti Suzuki Ertiga in 2012 rivalled the Toyota Innova but soon the popularity of Innova led to a major price hike which pulled it out from the competition. The only valuable car that Maruti Suzuki Ertiga now competes with is the Renault Lodgy which offers great value for money but sells significantly smaller numbers due to its looks. The other cars in the segment were Chevrolet Enjoy and Nissan Evalia. Chevrolet has quit its sales in India while the Evalia by Nissan does negligible numbers.
