Banking on the increasing popularity and craze for SUVs in India, the largest car manufacturer in India may soon launch its popular compact SUV Suzuki Jimny in the country. The Suzuki Jimny is already being sold in the international markets and the updated 2018 Suzuki Jimny had recently been Spied testing that too without camouflage.
Maruti Suzuki to Launch Jimny in India
The largest car manufacturer in the country, Maruti Suzuki India Ltd., may soon launch the Suzuki Jimny in India after the global unveiling of the updated 2018 Suzuki Jimny which is speculated to happen next year.
The images of the 2018 Jimny, which was in the testing phase, were earlier leaked online. The new pictures of the Suzuki Jimny without camouflage reveal more about the vehicle which may make its way to the Indian market. The images that have recently been shared on the digital platform showcases the 2018 Suzuki Jimny inside company’s production line that too without any camouflage.
It has not been officially revealed when the carmaker will unveil the new 2018 Jimny but the spied images reveal that the Suzuki Jimny is most likely undergoing trial production and it is expected to be showcased at the upcoming Tokyo Motor Show. Though the updated Jimny is likely to be showcased at the upcoming motor show yet the company has not made any official announcement.
Specifications of the updated Suzuki Jimny
The spied images reveal that the Suzuki Jimny flaunts the existing boxy design. The old school appearance and the existing boxy design have been the signature qualities of the Suzuki Jimny and the spied images reveal that the new 2018 Suzuki Jimny will carry the same design outline. There have been minor changes in the new Suzuki Jimny which are revealed through the spied images. Though the new Suzuki Jimny appears boxier than ever yet the new design of the car adds to its appearance and makes it look better and more stylish.
The new updated Suzuki Jimny, which is likely to make its way to the Indian market may carry five-slat grille merged with the circular headlamps. This design makes the new 2018 Suzuki Jimny appear like mini G-Class. Well, the overall design has been updated to add more sophistication to the car.
Under the hood and other features of the updated Suzuki Jimny
The new Jimny gets redesigned and more muscular bumper with round shaped fog lamps housed in the bumper. While the new Jimny continues with the two-door model design with flared wheel arches, the clamshell style bonnet adds to the front facet of the 2018 Suzuki Jimny. What adds to its muscular appearance is the side skirts and the new twin-5-spoke black alloy wheels. The updated Jimny comes with different coloured-lights on the rear updated bumper and a tailgate-mounted spare wheel on the rear.
Though the engine specifications have not been revealed yet it is expected that automaker Maruti Suzuki may launch the new Jimny in India will the 1-litre BoosterJet turbocharged petrol, in addition to the 1.2-litre petrol options.
