Upcoming Hatchback Cars in 2018 from Maruti, Hyundai, Honda, Tata, Ford & Mahindra

Hatchbacks are considered the most affordable four wheelers especially for the middle class as well as for the lower middle class in the country. With numerous options in the existing product lineup in the hatchback segment, the coming year will witness several new launches in the segment from most of the major car manufacturers in India. Leading car manufacturers including Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Honda, Tata, Ford and Mahindra & Mahindra are likely to launch these new cars in the hatchback segment in 2018. Let’s take a look at the new hatchbacks…

New Maruti Suzuki Swift

Maruti Suzuki is likely to unveil its most anticipated car the all-new Swift in the coming year. After the launch of the next generation Dzire, all the auto enthusiast are anxiously waiting for the hatchback. It has been reported that the automaker will unveil the all-new Maruti Suzuki Swift at the upcoming 2018 Auto Expo in Delhi.

Maruti Suzuki Swift Sport

The sports variant of the all-new Maruti Suzuki Swift may be introduced in India in the second half of the next year. The more powerful Swift Sport will be unveiled after the launch the much-anticipated hatchback in India. Once the largest car manufacturer in India launches the new Swift in the market, the stage will be set for the next big product from the Maruti stable. The new Maruti Suzuki Swift Sport will get sporty body kit which will include side skirts, new splitter, and new alloy wheel design in addition to contrasting bumpers that will certainly add to its sporty character.

Ford Figo facelift

Ford is all set to unveil the Figo facelift soon. The facelifted version of the Figo has already been caught testing recently. The new Figo is likely to come with several visual changes. As per reports, the new facelifted variant of the Figo might get new mesh grille, with the redesigned bumper. The Ford hatchback may also get new headlamps and tail lamps. There is a chance that the automaker might introduce a new petrol engine in the Figo.

Honda Jazz facelift

Honda’s premium hatchback may also get a facelift version of the car in the coming year. It has also been confirmed by the car maker that it will also be launching a hybrid version of the Honda Jazz in India in the near future. The facelifted Honda Jazz is likely to get slimmer front grille, redesigned bumpers and LED headlamps.

Hyundai Elite i20 facelift

Hyundai’s Elite i20, which is one of the top-selling passenger cars in India, is also expected to get a facelift in 2018. The new Elite i20 is likely to share the external design with its bigger sibling the all-new Verna. The major difference in both the cars is expected to be on the rear side as the hatchback will come without a boot. The new facelifted variant may come with a redesigned 16-inch alloy wheels in addition to the all-new interiors.

Tata X451

Tata Motors, which is missing from the premium hatchback segment in India, is likely to introduce the X451 during the festive season. The new hatchback is likely to get a very futuristic design. Tata is reported to be working on this car with inputs from its Indian and European design teams. The concept version of the Tata X451 is likely to be unveiled at the 2018 Auto Expo in Delhi.

Tata Tiago Sport

Tata’s Tiago had been one of the most selling products from the automaker. Sale of the popular hatchback from Tata has been increasing every month. After launching the AMT version of the Tiago, the carmaker is now planning to launch the Sport variant of the Tiago and will unveil it next year. The Tiago Sport will come equipped with a sporty body kit which will include new bumper and skirting.

Mahindra KUV 100 electric

Homegrown automaker Mahindra & Mahindra has recently stated that it is working on a new Electric variant of the KUV 100. The launch of the KUV 100 electric is expected towards the end of next year. The electric version of the car is expected to be showcased at the upcoming 2018 Auto Expo.
