Pictures of the (Maruti) Suzuki Swift Sport released by the Japanese carmaker has made it one of the most anticipated cars of 2018. It was reported that the most anticipated Suzuki Swift Sport 2018 will be officially showcased and revealed at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show in September this year.
Appearance of the (Maruti) Suzuki Swift Sport
The first glimpse of the (Maruti) Suzuki Swift Sport is appealing. The images released by the Japanese carmaker displays the all-new (Maruti) Suzuki Swift Sport in a Yellow shade finished with a Black-finished sporty body kit. The overall design of the (Maruti) Suzuki Swift Sport is quite similar to the 2018 Swift and it is difficult to make out the difference between the two from distance. (Maruti) Suzuki Swift Sport gets a slightly redesigned front fascia that distinguishes the (Maruti) Suzuki Swift Sport from the regular (Maruti) Suzuki Swift model which is believed to hit the Indian market by late this year or the beginning of next year.
Aggressive Third-generation (Maruti) Suzuki Swift Sport
The third-generation (Maruti) Suzuki Swift Sport is more aggressive as compared to the regular (Maruti) Suzuki Swift. In terms of design, the (Maruti) Suzuki Swift Sport gets a large grille which bears a unique grille pattern. A revised fog lamp enclosures merged nicely in the sporty front bumper with a lip spoiler adds to the sporty character of the (Maruti) Suzuki Swift Sport. The blacked out side skirts on the side profile and sporty diamond-cut alloy wheels of the (Maruti) Suzuki Swift Sport is another character that makes it superior to the regular (Maruti) Suzuki Swift. The (Maruti) Suzuki Swift Sport is expected to sport an attractive rear bumper coupled with a twin exhaust setup and rear lip spoiler, but there are chances that these specifications may not be there as the rear section of the car has not been showcased yet.
Features of the (Maruti) Suzuki Swift Sport
The (Maruti) Suzuki Swift Sport is expected to powered by a 1.4-litre turbocharged BoosterJet engine. Mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox, this booster jet engine will be able to produce 138 BHP of power and 220 Nm of peak torque. According to some reports, it is also suggested that the new (Maruti) Suzuki Swift Sport will produce 147 BHP of power and 245 Nm of peak torque. Engine specifications and other visible alterations have not been officially declared by the carmaker but if the (Maruti) Suzuki Swift Sport gets this engine setting it is going to be a leader in the segment competing with the Fiat Abarth Punto and the Volkswagen Polo GTI.
India Launch of (Maruti) Suzuki Swift Sport
Though the Japenese carmaker is all set to showcase the car, Maruti Suzuki has not declared any official statement for the launch of (Maruti) Suzuki Swift Sport in India. Going by some reports, it suggests that the carmaker has plans to launch the car in India, but when, is the question most of the car enthusiasts are left with!
