Renowned singers Mika Singh and Daler Mehndi’s elder brother Ustad Shamsher Singh Mehndi passed away yesterday morning in Delhi. And the new of Shamsher Singh death was rolled by Mika Singh himself on his twitter account. The news of Shamsher Singh’s demise left the whole music industry shaken, not only the Bollywood but also the Punjabi music industry.
Many times Shamsher Singh has been seen as a backstage musician in the troupe with Mika Singh and Daler Mehndi in most of their live performances. Although Mika Singh himself rolled out the sad news but right now Mika himself is in Canada for some professional work.
Mika Singh’s Elder Brother Shamsher Singh passed away
Elder brother of Mika Singh and Daler Mehndi, Shamsher Singh has been suffering from Jaundice from last one and half month. Due to his illness, Shamsher Singh has been admitted to Vedanta Hospital in Delhi from last one and a half month. And he took his last breath their itself on yesterday morning as mentioned by the spokesperson of Mika Singh.
Mika Singh announced the demise of his beloved brother on his twitter account with the lines- ‘Waheguru ji ka khalsa shri Waheguru ji ki fateh.. Very sad news for our family that our older brother Ustad Shamsher Singh ji has passed away’. And after the declaration, many names from Bollywood like Harshdeep Kaur and Gippy Grewal showed their condolence to Shamsher Singh’s family.

At present, Shamsher Singh has been seen as a Jury member in Sa re ga ma pa lil champs show. Earlier he was a part of Daler Mehndi’s troupe and have been performed in many of the events and stage shows along with him. Mika’s elder brother Shamsher Singh was also a well-known record producer and songwriter. Mika’s elder brother was also known for making Bhangra popular all over the World.
Although Shamsher Singh was the back support for both Mika Singh and Daler Mehndi, but it is for sure that he was the only one who made Mika and Daler so popular.
