The next version of Xiaomi’s UI, MIUI 9 is now released for the next set of devices. With this new UI MIUI 9, there are many Mi phones that are getting updated. Now, the new set of phones getting updated with MIUI 9 include Max 2, Mi 5, Mi5s, etc. Before jumping high in the sky with the joy of updating your Mi phones, do note that the UI has not been completely developed and is not in the final stable built, therefore, there might come a risk with the installation of the new Global Beta ROM, MIUI 9.
List of Xiaomi and Redmi Devices up in Line for MIUI 9 Update
There are many Xiaomi devices that are listed for getting the updated Xiaomi UI, MIUI 9 that has Global Beta ROM. The devices include Mi 6, Mi 5s Plus, Redmi Note 4X/ Redmi Note 4 Qualcomm version, Mi Max, Mi Max 2, Mi 5, Mi 5s, Mi Note 2 and Redmi 4X.
In the Early news, it came to light that devices like Redmi Note 4 are eligible for the update for the Global MIUI 9 Beta ROM that was already operating on Android Nougat. Where earlier the phones like Mi Max and Mi 5 etc were not eligible for the update. Well with the latest news, all these devices that were not eligible for the MIU 9 are now listed for the eligibility and can update to the Global Beta ROM.
How to Download the New MIUI 9 Global Beta ROM on your Smartphone?
For Updating your devices with the new MIUI 9 Global Beta ROM, all you have to do is to go to the official website of MIUI and then go to the download section. In the list that will appear after clicking on the download option, all you have to do is locate your device that is listed in there.
Note that, as it is Beta build, therefore you will not find it in the update section of the smartphone’s setting option. This beta build has to be downloaded and installed manually.
Note – Also, the Redmi Note 4 users, who have not yet tried the update can also install MIUI 9 with the Android Nougat on the phone.
After opening the list and locating the phone on the official website, all you have to do is download the Global ROM and download the developer build. The Stable Build of Xiaomi MIUI 9 is only available on Android Marshmallow. The download is approx. 2GB.
Make Sure that you do not download the China ROM.
