Motorola has launched the Moto E4 and Moto E4 Plus, budget smartphones in India. These smartphones are partially made up of metal. The Moto E4 and Moto E4 Plus smartphones are an upgrade from last year’s Moto E3 and Moto E3 Power in terms of camera, specifications, battery and processor. The devices will deliver good battery backup and sport an outstanding display and advanced camera set up.
Features & Specifications: Motorola Moto E4 and E4 Plus
Moto E4 and Moto E4 Plus have been launched in the US and it is likely that the smartphones will be introduced in the Indian market in the coming months. Design wise, both the smartphones sport a metal back with a circular camera frame and antenna lines. There is a Motorola batwing logo and a speaker grille also situated at the back of Moto E4 smartphone. The devices have a Home Button in the front with the fingerprint sensor packed underneath, and the volume and power keys are both situated on the right edge of the smartphones. The 3.5mm audio jack is seen residing on top and both Moto E4 and E4 Plus also have a water repellent coating.
Motorola Moto E4 specifications
The Moto E4 sports a 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) display, and is powered by the 1.4GHz Snapdragon 425 processor or a Snapdragon 427 processor (depending on the carrier in the US) paired with 2GB of RAM. It runs on Android 7.1 Nougat and comes with a single-SIM slot (Nano). The smartphone offers 16GB of internal storage option with the option to expand further using a microSD card slot.
Moto E4 has 5-megapixel front camera with f/2.2 aperture, fixed focus, single-LED flash, and a beautification mode for better selfies. Rear camera is 8 megapixel with auto-focus, f/2.2 aperture, and single-LED flash support. It packs a 2800mAh removable battery, and connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11n, Micro USB port, GPS, Bluetooth v4.1, and 4G support. The smartphone weighs 150 grams with dimensions being 44.5 x 72 x 9.3 mm. Sensors on board Moto E4 include proximity, light, accelerometer, and magnetometer. It will be available in Liquorice Black, and Fine Gold colour variants with price roughly around Rs 8,400.
Moto E4 Plus specifications
The Moto E4 Plus is slightly bigger and has 5.5-inch HD (720 x 1280 pixels) display. Smartphone weights 181 grams. It will be powered by a 1.4GHz Snapdragon 427 SoC in the US, and MediaTek MTK6737M chipset outside of North America. Apart from the 2GB/16GB variant, it has an additional 3 GB RAM/ 32 GB storage variant as well. It has 5 megapixel front camera and 13 megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, auto-focus, and single-LED flash support.
The biggest highlight of the Moto E4 Plus is 5000 mAh non-removable battery that supports fast charging as well. The Plus version will be available in Iron Gray and Fine Gold colour options. All the other specifications are identical to the Moto E4.
Moto E4 Plus is roughly priced at Rs. 11,600.
