NCERT delivering textbooks free of cost
Recently, NCERT had launched its website www.ncertbooks.ncert.gov.in for students to purchase school textbooks online. The students who will order textbooks from NCERT’s official website will not be even charged for its delivery. The online textbooks are readily available online from the students of classes 1 to 12 and NCERT will pay the delivery charges for every individual. This initiative has been taken in order to cater students in abundance and also from far off places. The online ordering of the NCERT books will help students to get the books easily, without paying anything extra.
Also, through the online ordering of books, students will be able to get the updated and recent editions of textbooks without any delay.
Order textbooks online on NCERT official website
To order the NCERT textbooks online, students, as well as teachers, will have to first visit the official website www.ncertbooks.ncert.gov.in. Now they will have to log in and register themselves before placing the order. Once you are registered, click on the link of order textbooks online, now select the textbooks you required, add it to the cart and proceed for payment. Payment for your order can be done online via debit- credit card or through net banking. The person ordering the NCERT textbooks can buy the complete set class wise.
Presently, there are over 3,000 Central Board Secondary Education (CBSE) affiliated schools across India that follow NCERT curriculum and are registered as the source for all study material. The official online portal for selling NCERT textbooks was launched last year in the month of August. It has till date delivered over 2.5 students have received their textbooks via this service.
This initiative will also prevent the parents of the students from unnecessary expenditure on the textbooks of the private publishers. The online ordering of books will also deliver the study material to the students without any delay with no additional charges for its transit.
