NCERT to Introduce Mandatory New Subject in Schools from Session 2019 | Here’s the Details

NCERT 2018-19: National Council for Educational Research and Training have now planned to introduce Yoga as a new subject in Schools form 2019 onwards. NCERT has issued new guidelines for the schools to follow from 2019 session onwards. As per the new guideline of the Council, Schools will now have to make Yoga mandatory for the students.

National Council for Educational Research and Training (NCERT) is also set to enter ICSE Board as well as 2019 curriculum. As per the recent reports, NCRPC has sent a summon to ICSE Board to not follow the NCERT books as a part their curriculum. NCERT makes Yoga mandatory for Schools from 2019 onwards

National Council for Educational Research and Training has come up with new guidelines to make School follow Yoga activities. As per the new NCERT guidelines, all the State and Union Territories Schools have to make ‘Yogic activities’ mandatory from Class 6 onwards. As NCERT has been moving towards a broader plan to promote physical education in Schools, the new guidelines also fall under the same.

Schools affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) likely to follow the same from session 2019 onwards. Although the State Board Schools, who does not want to follow the new guidelines have been left behind with an option from NCERT. Soon NCERT will make it mandatory from Class 1 to 10 students to be in some of the health and physical education activity.

Some more changes by NCERT in Education from 2019 session

National Council for Educational Research and Training (NCERT) from 2019 onwards may also be a part of ICSE Board syllabus along with CBSE and some State Boards. Even the Council is also planning to cut down the syllabus by 50% in order to provide time to students for games and physical activities period from the upcoming session.

Although much more changes are still awaited from NCERT in order to give the best Education to the students. NCERT is not only aiming at the theoretical studies but also hitting for physical students for the better future of the students.
