CBSE releases NEET 2018 exam official notification citing marks relaxation & assessment criteria online. The admission notice of the NEET 2018 exam is available on CBSE official website at cbseneet.nic.in online. The test conducted by the education board as National Eligibility cum Entrance Exam (NEET 2018) has its application forms out online. The candidates who wish to take the NEET exam this year shall have to fulfil some criteria before taking the test. NEET 2018 aspirants must have passed Physics, Chemistry & Biology/Bio-Technology & English exams separately in the qualifying test. This marks calculation criteria is done on the aggregate or combined marks also called as the PCB criteria. In this CBSE norm, aspirants of the medical admission test shall have to obtain a minimum score in subjects like Physics, Chemistry & Biology/Biotechnology combined. This is to be ensured in qualifying Class 12th exams as PCB criteria.

Candidates who belong to the physically disabled category appearing for the NEET 2018 exam this year shall have to ensure this criteria too. Though 5% to 10% relaxation in marks have been granted to these candidates by the CBSE while they aspire for the NEET 2018 exam.

Marks Relaxation Criteria in CBSE NEET (UG) 2018 Exam For Students

Moreover, an aggregate score of atleast 50% in Physics, Chemistry & Bio subjects all taken together combined must be there to apply for the NEET 2018 exam by candidates belonging to General or Unreserved category aspiring to take the medical admission test.

For candidates belonging to SC/ST category shall ensure the same criteria with marks relaxation of 10% in the criteria. For instance, these candidates shall have to ensure at least 40% marks combined as against 50% mentioned in above norm.

This implies physically disabled candidates belonging to General category shall have to score minimum marks of 45% while for SC/ST & other backward classes, this criteria is about 40% in the subjects mentioned above combined also called as the PCB criteria.
