NEET UG 2019: National Testing Agency has extended the last date for the registration of the NEET UG Exam 2019 (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test). Candidates can now register for the exam till the 7th of December. The decision just came after the Supreme Court asked NTA to extend the last date for registration by a week to accommodate the students who haven’t filled the application form because of age limit criteria.
NEET UG 2019 Exam Last Date Extended
NTA released a Public Notice on 29th November regarding the change in the last dateAfter the revision in the age limit now the candidates who have born on or before 31st December 2002 can apply for the exam. Earlier for the Unreserved category candidates, only those can apply for NEET 2019 exam who have born on or between 5th May 1994 and 31st December 2002.
For the SC/ST/OBC/PWD category candidates, only those candidates were able to apply who’ve born between 5th May 1989 and 31st December 2002. Now all candidates can apply who born before 31st December 2002. After this change in the age limit, the NTA has added a few more days to fill the application form for the NEET Exam 2019.
Earlier as per the information bulletin, the last date to fill the application form was 30th November 2018. The last date to pay the application fee was 1st December. Now the new last date for the NEET 2019 registration is 7th December 2018 and the last date for the payment is 8th December 2018. The rest of the schedule remains the same.
NEET UG Exam 2019
To recall, for the NEET 2019 Exam, National Testing Agency started the procedure of filling the application form online on the official website on 1st November 2018. The last date to fill application form was 30th November 2018 but now changed to 7th December 2018. The application fee for the Unreserved category candidates is Rs 1400 and for the reserved (SC/ST/PWD/Transgender) is Rs 750.
The correction in the particulars in the NEET UG Application form will begin next month. The starting date to make the correction in the application form is 14th January 2019 and the last date is 31st January 2019. NTA will conduct the exam for the NEET UG 2019 in the month of May.
