According to reports, the prices of the new Maruti Swift are expected to be a bit more premium than the existing price range. The report also mentions that the new Maruti Suzuki Swift is expected to be priced between INR 4.5 lakh to INR 8 lakh in India.
The new Maruti Swift 2017 is reported to make its public debut in India at the 2018 Delhi Auto Expo. The event is scheduled to take place in February next year. The new Swift is likely to be launched after the debut itself.
Specifications of the new Maruti Suzuki Swift
The new Maruti Swift 2017 will retain the same engine options as the current one. The current generation Maruti Swift hatchback will carry both petrol and diesel engines. While the petrol variant will be powered by a 1.2-litre VVT engine, the diesel derivative will carry the same 1.3-litre DDiS unit.
Both the petrol as well as the diesel engines will come paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox, which will be standard across all variants. Though Maruti Suzuki has introduced a 5-speed AMT variant to the Maruti Suzuki Dzire and Ignis models that were recently introduced in India by Maruti Suzuki.

According to reports, the new Maruti Suzuki Swift 2017 is expected to deliver better mileage than the current generation model. The petrol engine new Maruti Suzuki Swift is likely to offer 21 kmpl mileage while the diesel engine is expected to give about 28 kmpl.

With the generation update, the interiors of the new Swift 2017 will get a major revamp. The cabin of the new Swift 2017 is reported to be primarily black in nature but will get silver highlights for an upgraded feel. Amid a lot of new features and updates, some of the updates in the new Swift include steering mounted controls, automatic climate control, touchscreen Smartplay infotainment system, leather-wrapped steering wheel as well as a cooled glove box.
