Maruti Suzuki’s much-anticipated hatchback, the 2018 Swift is all set to hit the Indian roads next month. The automaker is all set to introduce the much awaited next-generation Swift at the upcoming Auto Expo 2018. As per the report, India’s largest car manufacturer is planning to unveil the all-new Swift in India by next month.
Maruti Suzuki Swift’s global launch
The next generation Maruti Suzuki Swift which is awaiting its launch in India, was first unveiled at the Geneva International Motor Show earlier this year. Since its global launch, the most popular hatchback had been in the news and has become the most anticipated car in the country. The chassis of the next generation Maruti Swift is claimed to be lighter and harder than before and it the hatchback is reported to be based on the all-new Heartect platform by Suzuki. Though the company has reduced the overall weight of the hatchback but it has not compromised on the safety front. The all-new next generation Swift is tougher and gives better performance than the outgoing model.
Specifications of next-gen Maruti Suzuki Swift all set to be launched next month
In terms of looks, the new Maruti Suzuki Swift is altogether a brand new car in design in lines of the basic design of the hatchback. On the front facet, the all-new Swift gets newly designed sweptback headlamps that come equipped with LED DRLs (daytime running lights).
The popular hatchback also gets redesigned bumper in addition to the new grille design. Most of the side profile of the new Maruti Swift remains unchanged. The Swift sports the trademark blacked-out A-pillar, similar to the current generation Swift. The feature that differentiates the side profile of the next generation Swift is the new diamond-cut allow wheel design and the rear door handle bar.
Price and other features of the new Swift
Much similar to the Maruti Suzuki’s subcompact SUV Vitara Brezza, the next generation Maruti Suzuki Swift too gets a floating roof touch. On the rear side, the all-new hatchback gets a redesigned bumper and new set of tail lamps. The tail lamps too get the LED-touch just like the headlamps and are now sturdy than before. What adds to the rear look of the new Swift is the nicely tucked in the spoiler with a stop light.
The new Swift by Maruti is likely to be launched in India between the range of Rs 4.80 Lakh – Rs 8 Lakh. The hatchback will rival the likes of the Hyundai Grand i10, Nissan Micra, Tata Tigor and the Volkswagen Polo.
