After a heavy pre-booking season, Nokia 5 has finally made it to the company stores in India. According to reports, the sale of Nokia 5 has already begun and the Nokia 5 is now readily available at offline retail stores in some of the major cities across India. The sale of the Nokia 5 began on the Independence Day, August 15.
The successful Pre-Booking season
Nokia launched the pre-booking of Nokia -5, last month and it received a huge response from the gadget fans across the country. With Nokia -5 the brand sealed its position in the mobile war game! The company unveiled the Nokia 5 smartphone after the unveiling of android-powered smartphones — Nokia 3 and Nokia 6.
The company had declared that Nokia 5 will be an offline exclusive smartphone and it will be a great offering (Value for money) for the customers. As per reports the Nokia 5 was supposed to be available in different attractive colours including Silver, Tempered Silver, Matte Black, Blue and Copper. The pre-bookings of the Nokia 5 in India were initiated in selected states including Chandigarh, Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Calicut, Chennai, Hyderabad, Lucknow, Jaipur and Indore.
Some facts about Nokia 5 launched in India
It was reported that HMD Global, Nokia 5 Marketing partner, had confirmed retail availability and sale of the Nokia 5 smartphone. The Nokia 5 will be available in India at a price of Rs. 12,499. As of now the Nokia 5 smartphone is only available in a single storage SKU and RAM. As per the pre-booking announcement, the Nokia 5 was supposed to come with various colour options in India but at the launch, it was revealed that the Nokia 5 will be available in a Matte Black colour only. Though officials have confirmed that other colour options such as the Tempered Blue, Silver and Copper will go on sale eventually.
Nokia 5 launch offers
HMD Global, the Marketing partner of Nokia 5 in India has listed numerous launch offers for the prospective customers. Initially, HMD Global has bundled the Nokia 5 with two offers which include Vodafone 5GB data plan at Rs. 149 per month (for 3 months), and it will also include Rs. 2,500 discount on Makemytrip.com which will include Rs. 1,800 on hotels & Rs.700 off on domestic flights.
Nokia 5 specifications and features
The Nokia 5 sports a 5.2-inch HD (720×1280 pixel) display and comes with a fingerprint scanner. This scanner is mounted on the home button, like other smartphones. The newly launched Nokia 5 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC and runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat. 2GB of RAM makes the Nokia 5 a swift phone. With 16GB of inbuilt storage, the storage of the Nokia 5 can be expanded via microSD card (up to 128GB). 13-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front camera makes the Nokia 5 a must have for photo lovers.
