Rajasthan University Cut Off 2017 – First List Out & Here’s What It Means

The wait for the students seeking admission to Rajasthan University is finally over now as the UNIRAJ, Jaipur announced its First cut off list on Monday, i.e, 19th of June. Much on the expected lines, the Rajasthan University cut-off list 2017 has seen a rise of 2% to 4% as compared to previous year. There also has been a substantial increase in number of applicants from previous years.

All those who applied online for UG Courses like BA, BSC, BCOM, B.Tech, BBA, BCA, B.Ed. and PG Courses like MA, MSC, MCOM, M.Tech., MBA, MCA, M.Ed. can check the cut-off list 2017 from the Rajasthan University’s website.

The cut-off for the four constituent colleges of Rajasthan University — Maharani’s, Maharaja’s, Commerce and Rajasthan for CBSE students remained higher than many premier colleges in the country and what’s more astonishing is that even in categories such as SC and ST, the cut for CBSE students remained in the nineties.

Maharani College tops the Cut-Off List with 96.20% for B.Com

Maharani’s College under Rajasthan University recorded highest ever cut-off in B.com for 2017. CBSE students who scored 96.20% or above have only made it to the list. The cut-off for BA pass course for general category RBSE students remained 88.40 per cent and for CBSE students it remained 94.40 per cent. For OBC students it remained 85.20 per cent.

While, in Commerce College, the 2017 cut-off for RBSE students in BCom pass course remained 81.6 per cent and 91.6 per cent for CBSE students.

Maharaja’s College showed a cut-off for RBSE students 85 per cent and for CBSE students it was 90.20 per cent for B.Sc. Biology pass course.For Mathematics pass course the cut-off was 92.80 per cent.

Colleges with Maximum Cut Off

It gets tougher for CBSE students to grab a seat in Rajasthan University. There were about 1000 seats in Maharaja’s College and following the percentile formula only 10-15 CBSE students could get admission there.

  • Maharani’s College: BA pass course RBSE 88.40 per% CBSE 94.40%
  • Commerce College: BCom pass course RBSE 81.6% CBSE 91.6%
  • Rajasthan College: BA  pass course RBSE 86.4% CBSE no applications
  • Maharaja’s College: BSc Biology pass course RBSE 85% CBSE  90.20%

It is a moment of joy for those who have made it to the list while for others, they’ll have to wait till the second list is out. The second Cut-off list of Rajasthan University for 2017 admissions is likely to be announced on June 26 or June 27.
