Reliance Jio has partnered with Intex for his vendor of Much awaited Jio 4G feature phone. Jio 4G feature phone will hit the Indian Market in August and it will again shake the telecom market. This time it will also shake the smartphone makers. Now, this is sure that Jio will soon launch the Jio 4G feature phone. The launch of Jio 4G feature phone will completely vanish the 2G and 3G technology and it will also impact on the sale of small phones that comes with 2G or 3G connectivity.
Intex will Make Feature phone for Jio
The new Jio feature phone which Intex is making in India will be priced by Jio. It will be a subsidy model. According to the reports of ET, Director of Intex Technologies Nidhi Markanday said that We will launch the Jio 4G feature phone in the quarter of this year but we will not sell it alone and we are in discussion with Jio for bundling the phone. Jio will announce the new Jio 4G feature phone soon.
When Intex Executive asked about the size of the order of Reliance Jio 4G Feature phone, then he said that There is Ballpark figure provided by Jio and we at Intex will first make some trial samples.
Jio will import these phone from multiple vendors including China. This move will rapidly increase Jio subscriber base in India. The price of Jio 4G phone is not yet decided by us as it will be decided by jio only. This is so because it will be a subsidized item.
Price Of Jio 4G Intex Feature Phone
According to the reports of HSBC, Jio 4G feature phone will be subsidized the phone and the price of Jio 4G phone will be approximately Rs.500. And the same is said by the Intex that the phone will be of Rs.500 approximately. This move will rapidly move all 2G customers to 4G. Jio will give a subsidy of Rs.650 – 975 on each phone. Reliance Jio target is 400 million feature phone users in India. And for that Jio needs its feature phone in bulk. Once the Jio 4G phone will launch there is no doubt that the 2G era will end and may be the 3G era too. Jio 4G feature phone will bring 4G era in the country. 2G phone users will directly jump to 4G.
A few days ago, Jio 4G feature phone images get surfaced online with all the specifications of the phone. According to that leaks of Jio 4G feature phone, the phone will come with a 2.4-inch display with 512MB RAM and 4GB of internal storage. There will be a 2-megapixel back camera and a VGA camera at the front on the Jio 4G feature phone.
