Renault has finally launched its much-awaited compact SUV the Renault Captur in India. The compact SUV by the French automobile manufacturer, Renault, has been launched in India at an inaugural price of Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom). After Renault’s Kwid, which is company’s top-selling car, the newly launched Renault Captur is believed to capture a significant share in the SUV segment.
Renault Captur Launched At Rs 9.99 Lakh in India
The Renault Captur has been launched in India at Rs. 9.99 lakh. The base model of the Renault Captur has been priced at Rs 9.99 lakh while the top end variant of the newly launched Renault Captur is priced around Rs. 13.88 lakh. RXE is the base model of Renault Captur, while the Platine is the top end variant of Renault Captur. It has been reported that the range-topping Platine diesel variant, is an exclusive model for the Indian market.
The India-spec Renault Captur is based on its Renault Duster’s platform. The Captur will compete with the likes of Hyundai Creta, Ford Ecosport and Nissan Terrano. Prices of the Renault Captur are introductory prices and as per the report, the prices will be soon revised. After the Renault Duster this is the second four-wheeler from the French automobile manufacturer in the segment.

Specifications of the Renault Captur, interior, exterior and more
In terms of dimensions, though the Renault Captur is narrower and shorter in comparison to the Renault Duster but it is a little longer than its sibling. At 210 mm, the ground clearance of the Renault Captur is pretty impressive. It is, in fact, much better than the competition.
The Renault Captur gets massive C-shaped LED DRLs, full LED headlamps with active LED turn indicators. The DRLs have been assimilated in the bumper that adds to the robust appearance of the Renault Captur. The top trims of the Renault Captur get attractive 17-inch diamond cut alloy wheels while the all-LED curled taillights add to the rear look of the SUV.
The interior of the Renault Captur also gets a premium look. The materials that have been used on the inside of the Capture offers an upmarket feel to the car. The interior is plusher than its sibling – the Duster. The cabin of the Captur has been finished in dual-tone. It gets the black and white shade on the inside that offers a plush outlook to the cabin.
