French car manufacturer Renault is all set to increase the prices of its product lineup in India. According to the report, the automaker has recently announced that it will be increasing the prices of its most selling hatchback- Renault Kwid, compact SUV Duster and the MPV Lodgy. The price hike will come into effect from January 2018.

Renault to increase prices of Kwid, Duster and Lodgy from January 2018
According to the report, Renault is all set to increase prices of Kwid, Duster and Lodgy from the beginning of 2018. The company has stated that the prices of the above-mentioned models are set to be increased by up to 3 per cent.
This translates as, that the maximum price increase on the compact SUV Renault Duster would be around Rs. 40,000, while on the other hand, the lowest priced Renault Kwid would cost Rs. 6,000 more from January 2018 onward. It has been mentioned in the report that the automaker will not increase the price of the recently launched subcompact SUV Captur.
Year-end discounts being offered by Renault on its product line in India
To boost the sales in the last month of the year, the automaker is also offering attractive year-end discounts on the Kwid, Duster and Lodgy. Renault is offering maximum discount of over Rs. 1.5 lakh on the compact SUV Duster. This discount is available on the Diesel AMT variant fo the Renault Duster.
Renault’s MUV Lodgy also gets a huge discount of Rs. 60,000 whereas the least priced hatchback the company’s bestseller Kwid gets a discount of up to Rs. 50,000. The discount on top selling Kwid is in the form of Rs. 10,000 cash discount while the loan offer at a low interest rate of 7.99 % would translate the remaining discount on the compact hatchback. There is a possibility that dealers may increase the period of discounts if there are leftover stock of 2017.
