Renault Kwid is in India’s Top Selling Car List | Find Out Why?

With 5439 units sold in June, Renault Kwid has successfully made a comeback in India’s top selling cars list for the month of June. The Renault Kwid was able to secure the 9th position in India’s top selling cars list which was followed by Tata’s hatchback Tiago. With 5438 units sold in June, Tata Tiago was just one unit short in sale of the Renault Kwid.

Touted to be a fully loaded car, Renault India’s Renault Kwid is company’s cheapest and smallest yet spacious car. Powered by a  799cc three-cylinder engine, the car was launched in the year 2015 and since then it has shown growth in the graph. Available in 5-speed manual and  5-speed automatic manual (Easy-R) options the Renault Kwid was able to increase the sale figures in a short span of time.

Renault Kwid – Breaking the cliches  

Since the launch of Renault Kwid in the Indian market, it has been a runaway success. Renault Kwid’s style statement, striking interiors and exteriors broke the perception of a small car in India. The small Renault Kwid came loaded with space enough to easily accommodate five adults. The accessories and fitments available for the Renault Kwid made it a much-preferred car especially for the first time buyers.

The comeback of Renault Kwid

The Renault Kwid went out of the top 10 selling cars list after March but within three months it was able to make a successful comeback in the month of June by selling 5439 units in June. The category is still dominated by the likes of Maruti Suzuki Alto 800 that was able to sell 14856 units and ranks first in the list.  Besides the Maruti Suzuki Alto 800, the Renault Kwid directly competes with Hyundai Eon.
