RRB Recruitment 2019: In the last week of December 2018, the Railway Recruitment Control Board released an official notification CEN No. 03/2018 on the official website and invites applications from candidates for more than 13000 posts. The procedure of filling the application form for the same started in the first week of January. The link to fill the application form for the JE and other posts in Railways is now active and candidates can fill the application form on the official website. Age Limit: The minimum age limit to apply for the various posts under the Railway Recruitment 2019 is 18 years while the upper age limit is 33 years. There is a 5 years age relaxation in the upper age limit for the candidates belonging to the SC and ST category. The candidates of OBC NCL Category will get an age relaxation of 3 years in upper age limit. For the General Category PwBD candidates, there is a relaxation of 10 years, For OBC NCL 13 years and for SC/ST 15 years. Application Fee: As per the official notification released by the Railway Recruitment Control Board, the application fee is Rs Rs 500 for all those candidates who are from General and OBC category. After appearing in the first stage CBT Exam the candidates will get a refund of Rs 400. The SC/ST Category candidates will have to pay Rs 250 as application fee and after appearing in the Ist stage CBT Exam, the amount of application fee i.e Rs 250 will be refunded back. the mode of payment of application fee includes Online, Offline, SBI Bank Challan and Post Office Challan.
Vacancies: As per the official notification released by the Railway Recruitment Board, there are total 13487 vacancies. These vacancies are for the post of Junior Engineer, Depot Material Superintendent, and Chemical and Metallurgical Assistant. For the post of Junior Engineer, there are 12844 vacancies. For the post of JE (IT), there are 29 vacancies. For the Depot Material Superintendent, there are 227 vacancies and for the post of Chemical and Metallurgical Assistant, there are 387 vacancies.
Important Dates: The official notification was published on 29th December 2018. The link to fill the application form was activated on 2nd January 2019 on the Railway Recruitment Board website. The closing date of online registration is 31st January 2019. The last date to pay the application fee online is 5th February 2019 while for the offline payment of application fee, the last date is 4th February 2019. The closing date of submission of application form in all aspects is 7th February 2019. The Railway Recruitment Board will conduct the exam tentatively in the month of April/May 2019
