Secret Superstar, featuring Dangal fame Zaira Wasim in lead and Amir Khan in an extended cameo, has made a fair collection at the box office in its first weekend. Going by the industry’s calculation, the recently launched movie, Secret Superstar made Rs 34.36 crore in its first five days at the box office in India in spite of the release clash with Rohit Shetty’s multi- starrer comedy movie, Golmaal 4.

Though on the very first day of its release, Secret Superstar could not do wonders at the box office, the movie attracted great response towards the weekend and fetched great reviews. In its first weekend, Secret Superstar made Rs 31.31 crore at the box office. The movie, Secret Superstar was released on the day of Diwali (October 19) and could only make Rs 4.8 crore on the same day. On the second day, the movie marked Rs 9.3 crore, on Saturday it made Rs 8.71 crore, which further reached to Rs 8.50 crore by Sunday,

Talking about the highlights of the movie Secret Superstar, the story of the movie revolves around a teenager, Insia Malik who wishes to become a pop singer but is discouraged by her orthodox father who doesn’t want his daughter to take up her passion for singing publicly. Amir Khan who is playing an extended cameo is featured in a whacky and stylish avatar. Amir Khan plays a musician who further becomes guide and mentor of Insia Malik and helps her in achieving her dream of becoming a singing sensation in India.
