SSC CGL 2017 Tier-2 Online Exam Update | Here’s What Might Have Caused the Delay, Is Normalisation To Blame?

SSC CGL 2017 Tier-II exam which has recently been delayed by the Staff Selection Commission via the release of a latest update on January 4, 2018 on its official SSC website online has a lot building up inside it. The superficial delays that are so frequent by the authorities pertaining to the SSC CGL Tier-2 exam which has been delayed for the third time in a row now has a lot of chaos surrounding the test making it all the more controversial issue than ever before. There is no dearth of controversies surrounding the SSC CGL Tier-II exam 2017 ranging from the normalisation of scores in the result of the Tier-I level to its frequent delays. Now scheduled to be held as per the recent reports and official SSC notification released online, the SSC CGL Tier-2 exam shall now be conducted from Feb 17, 2018 onwards.

SSC CGL Tier-2 Examination Schedule Delayed For the Third Time | Is Normalisation To Blame?

Speculated to be caused by normalisation issue, the delayed examination schedule of SSC CGLE Tier-2 is the talk of town lately. The Tier-I level of the Combined Graduate Level Examination conducted by SSC in August 2017 as a preliminary exam to screen in candidates in order to make them eligible for the tier-II level, the same is done via a preparation of merit list of qualified candidates declared in the form of SSC CGLE result of Tier-I.

Th candidates as a consequence of differential level of examinations’ difficulty level set by the Staff Selection Commission while conducting the test of SSC CGL Tier-1 level raised an issue of calculating their marks before declaration of its result after normalising the scores. Normalisation of marks or the Z-score calculation as demanded by the students who appeared for the Tier-1 exam remained unaddressed by the authorities falling on their deaf ears. The normalisation decision is impending with the court still which is rumoured to be out soon in January 2018.

SSC CGL Tier-2 Exam Dates Extended Again | Here’s What Might Have Caused Delay

The delay in the SSC CGLE 2017 especially in its Tier-2 level has caused a lot of anxiety and panic among students who have been toiling hard for it fpr a long time now. Though, for some it comes as a sigh of relief with extended schedule of the exam while others who were able to complete their preparation via repeated revisions now have to slow down their preparation strategy and not for the first or the second time, but the third time.

Earlier scheduled to be held in November 2017, the exam got delayed till December 18, 2017. The three-day of jam packed schedule of the SSC CGLE Tier-2 got increased to four days and was further postponed till January 18, 2018 to last till January 22, 2018. Now, the latest notification release by SSC updating a further postponed schedule by extending the dates of the SSC CGLE Tier-2 exam by a month now. The new dates for the SSC CGLE 2017 Tier-2 exam is now from February 17, 2018 till February 22, 2018.

All we hope and pray is, no more controversial issues surround the SSC CGLE Tier-II examination 2017 this year and the exam gets conducted in an online mode as per the recent schedule.
