SSC MTS 2017 Exam | Changed Revised Online Exam Pattern
The SSC MTS 2017 exam pattern has undergone revision with major changes incorporated in it this time. The Computer Based exam in an online mode is yet to start in about a week from now and the candidate’s need to get updated with the major changes in the pattern of the examination. In an SSC notification 2017 which was released online, candidates have been notified regarding the amendments introduced by the Staff Selection Commission regarding the SSC MTS 2017 exam. Mentioning the gist of the SSC notification pertaining to the SSC MTS 2017 exam, candidates shall keep themselves updated with the revised exam pattern for the SSC MTS 2017 exam this year.
SSC MTS 2017 Exam | Check 5 Major Changes This Time
Staff Selection Commission has incorporated changes in the exam pattern of the upcoming SSC MTS 2017 exam this year. The overall time duration for the upcoming SSC MTS 2017 exam has been reduced from the 2 hours i.e. 120 minutes to 90 minutes this time. Reduction in the SSC MTS 2017 exam time duration by 30 minutes is a major change for now candidates must have practised mock tests on the older SSC MTS exam pattern.
The two major sections of the SSC MTS 2017 exam namely English language and general awareness which previously had 50 questions asked in each section now has 25 questions each in them. Therefore, the reduction in overall time duration of the exam is clearly justified with reduced number of questions by half in both the sections of GA & English in the upcoming SSC MTS 2017 exam. This in turn had a consequence on the overall reduction in the allotted marks of the aforementioned sections of the SSC MTS 2017 exam. Now, the marks have been reduced from 50 to 25.
The total number of questions in the SSC MTS 2017 exam have been reduced from 150 to 100 questions in the paper 1. The last change that occurred is the number of shifts in the SSC MTS 2017 exam. The SSC MTS 2017 exam shifts have been increased from two per day to three per day to accommodate 60 lac applicants in the exam.
