Tata Motors is all set to launch the AMT variants of one of the company’s best sellers – Tata Nexon. As per the report, Tata Motors is likely to introduce the automatic variant of its much-anticipated subcompact SUV soon to offer more options in the Tata Nexon lineup to its consumers. The Tata Nexon was introduced in the Indian market couple of months back and it has received a good response from the consumers. With the launch of the Tata Nexon AMT variant, the company hopes to increase its sales figures with more variants in the current Tata Nexon lineup.
Tata Motors to launch Tata Nexon AMT both in petrol and diesel option
Since the launch of Tata Nexon, Tata Motors is looking to increase its sales figures. Tata’s subcompact SUV – Nexon was launched in India earlier this year in September. Tata Motors has received a great response for its new four-wheeler – Nexon.
Tata launched the subcompact SUV Nexon only with the manual transmission both in the petrol as well as the diesel engine. It was reported that Tata Motors may introduce the automatic transmission variants of the Nexon in both the engines later. As per the report, the company has affirmed that it will be bringing in an AMT variant of the Tata Nexon soon. The launch date of the Nexon AMT variant has not been revealed yet but according to the report, Tata Motors may bring in the Nexon AMT in petrol and diesel engine in the first half of next year.
Tata Cars with Automatic transmission
Tata Motors is already offering the automatic transmission in some of its best-selling cars. Four-wheelers from the Tata stable that already get the automatic transmission in its portfolio include the people’ car -Tata Nano, Tata Zest the newly launched Tata Tigor and Tata Tiago. All these four wheelers have automatic transmission variants available along with the manual transmission of the petrol and diesel model. Tata’s premium SUV Hexa comes with a torque convertor auto-box.
With the launch of the AMT variant of the Tata Nexon Tata Motors will have more cars with automatic transmission that will offer more choice to the consumers. It is reported that the Tata Nexon is likely to get the same AMT unit that currently powers the existing AMT products from Tata Motors such as the Tata Zest, Tata Tiago, Tata Tigor and the Tata Nano. The AMT unit in the Nexon is likely to be sourced from Magneti Marelli which being used in all the above-mentioned models from the Tata stable. There are currently, not many subcompact SUVs in the segment with an automatic gearbox and hence Tata Nexon AMT is likely to fetch a fair share of the segment sale with the new AMT variant in the petrol and diesel engine.
