Book the Tata Nexon NOW! Yes, the Tata Motors has finally opened the booking platform for its most anticipated sub-compact SUV – the Tata Nexon. The company announced the commencement of the official bookings in India for the Tata Nexon. Since the unveiling of Tata’s Nexon at the 2016 Auto Expo, car enthusiasts in India had been anxiously waiting for Tata Nexon’s launch. The announcement of the commencement of Tata Nexon’s booking has come as a festive season bonanza for the enthusiasts.
Token amount for booking Tata Nexon
According to reports, Tata Motors have commenced the bookings for the sub-compact SUV – the Tata Nexon and the customers can book the Tata Nexon compact SUV at a token amount of Rs 11,000 only. It has also been mentioned in the report that Tata’s sub-compact SUV – Nexon will be launched in India by month end.
Price and Launch date of the Tata Nexon
Though there is no official announcement about the launch date of the Tata Nexon but according to reports, the Tata Nexon is slated to be launched in India on September 21. Based on Tata Motors’ IMPACT Design philosophy, Tata’s sub-compact SUV, the Tata Nexon is speculated to be launch at a starting price of Rs 6.49 lakh for the base petrol variant whereas the top-end diesel model is expected to carry a price up to Rs 10 lakh.
Specifications of the new Engines in Tata Nexon
The diesel variant of the Tata Nexon is expected to carry Revotorq –1.5L Diesel engine. The 1496 cc, 4 Cylinder Revotorq Diesel engine will churn out 110 ps @ 3750 rpm power at a Maximum Torque of 260 Nm @ 1500-2750 rpm. The engine has been mated to a 7-gear transmission.
Besides the diesel engine, the Tata Nexon will also carry Revotron – 1198cc turbocharged Turbocharged Petrol engine. The 3 Cylinder Petrol Engine will churn out 110 hp @ 5000 rpm and Maximum Torque of 170 Nm @ 2000-4000 rpm. The petrol engine of the Tata Nexon also runs on the same 7-gear transmission that powers the diesel engine.
Competition for the Tata Nexon
Being the first sub-compact SUV from Tata Motors the homegrown automaker, the Tata Nexon will compete with the likes of segment leaders such as the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Mahindra TUV300, and other similar players such as Ford EcoSport and Honda WR-V.
