Tata Nexon XZ | New Variant That Makes The Most Sense | Here’s Why

The new XZ variant of the Tata Nexon will sit between the XT and XZ+ variants of the car

Tata Nexon is undoubtedly the most exciting car that Tata has ever launched in India which has been selling like hot cakes beating the competition every time. However, the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza continues to eat into the sales of the Nexon and Tata now might know why. The problem that the company seems to have found is in the Tata Nexon variant classification.

The current top models of the Tata Nexon – XT and XZ Plus have a price gap of 1.25 Lakh Rupees which is a substantial amount of money. This made the buyer of the car look elsewhere towards the car like Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza. However, Tata will now introduce a new variant of the Nexon that will sit between the XT and XZ.

Tata Nexon XZ: Features and Specifications

Tata Nexon XZ will be a cheaper offering for those who don’t want to spend significant amounts of money for the XZ+ variant. The model will come in both Petrol and Diesel engines and mechanically will remain the same as the others. Airbags, ABS and Drive Modes remain untouched.

However, the major things that you won’t get in the Tata Nexon XZ variant is the Alloy Wheels and Dual Tone Roof which we honestly feel are the highlight of the car and gave it a character. Day Time Running LED’s have also been given a miss on the XZ variant.

On the inside the 60:40 spilt seats from the XZ+ variant of the Tata Nexon have been omitted and so have the front and rear arm rest. Very important features like front and rear fog lamps and a rear defogger have also been given a miss. This means that if you live in a area where there is frequent fog in the winters, you have to choose the top end XZ+ model of the Tata Nexon.

Tata Nexon XZ Price India and Launch Date

Tata Nexon XZ Price in India hasn’t been announced yet but we expect it will be a slightly cheaper offering to the XZ+ rather than sitting right in between the XZ+ and XT models. Tata is also gearing up for the launch of Nexon AMT which will be the cheapest in the segment.
