Loaded with ‘X-edition’ badges, black plastic body cladding on the front grille, body coloured cladding, and black fog lamps bezels, and the new Toyota Etios Cross X-Edition is a fresh new offering from Toyota and has been launched at an attractive price of Rs 6.79 Lakh.
Toyota Etios Cross X edition launched in India
The updated version of Toyota Etios Cross, the Etios Cross – X edition has been launched in India that comes with few cosmetic changes. The new Toyota Etios Cross X-Edition has been equipped with ‘X-edition’ badges besides black plastic body cladding on the front grille. The new Etios Cross-X gets black fog lamps bezels and body coloured cladding that adds to the appearance of the new Toyota Etios Cross X-Edition.
The new Toyota Etios Cross X-Edition has also been loaded with safety features. The new Etios Cross X edition comes with ABS and EBD besides dual front airbags. It also gets Isofix child seat mounts for child safety. These features come as standard safety features of the model. The new Toyota Etios Cross X-Edition also gets front seat belt with pre-tensioner and force limiter.
New Toyota Etios Cross X-Edition loaded with attractive features
The new Toyota Etios Cross X-Edition gets new alloy wheels that adds to the sportier appearance of the car. Chromed door handles of the new Toyota Etios Cross X-Edition and the black roof rails certainly makes the new Toyota Etios Cross X-Edition look different from the existing variant of the Etios Cross. The X-cross edition of the Toyota Cross gets a new quartz brown paint option as well.
Besides the changed exterior, the new Toyota Etios Cross X-Edition also gets attractive and fresh interior. The updates inside the cabin include a carbon fibre finish that has been added to the instrument panel. The panel also gets new dual tone upholstery. The car has been equipped with a 6.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system which is compatible with ipod and reverse parking camera.
Specifications of the new Toyota Etios Cross X-Edition
The new Toyota Etios Cross X-Edition will not carry any mechanical change. The new Etios Cross X will continue to run on the same powertrains as the Toyota Etios Cross. The Toyota Etios Cross X-Edition will continue with the same engines that currently propel the standard trims.
The petrol version of the Toyota Etios Cross X-Edition gets the 1.2 litre engine that produces 80PS/104Nm. This petrol engine has been mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox to claim a fuel efficiency of 17.71kmpl. The diesel variant of the Toyota Etios Cross X-Edition runs on 1.4 litre oil burner that churns out 68PS/170Nm and claims 23.59kmpl.
While the petrol variant of the Toyota Etios Cross X-Edition has been launched at Rs 6.79 lakh (ex-showroom), the Diesel engine is priced at Rs 8.23 lakh (ex-showroom).
The existing variant of the Toyota Etios Cross competes with the likes of Fiat Avventura, Hyundai i20 Active and Volkswagen Cross Polo.
