TVS Apache RR 310’s Cousin BMW G310R Launching Early 2018

TVS Apache RR 310 was launched in India a few weeks ago at a starting price of 2.05 Lakh Rupees. The bike was a result of the joint venture between TVS and BMW. BMW’s G310R too was developed by the two companies together which shares essential body parts including the engine with the Apache RR310 launched recently. The bike was revealed even before the latest TVS Apache but according to reports the launch is likely to happen in a few weeks time.

What do the BMW G310R and TVS Apache RR310 have in common?

The TVS Apache RR310 came with a 313cc liquid cooled single cylinder engine which was jointly developed by BMW and TVS. The G310R too gets the same engine pumping out 33.5BHP of power and 28Nm of torque. If the design is considered the two bikes are poles apart. The G310R is a naked bike and appeals to an entirely different customer than the TVS Apache RR310.

The Apache, on the other hand, is a fully faired machine – a first from the Chennai based company. The racing DNA appeals to the more enthusiast rider than the G310R which is commuter friendly. Also the BMW counterpart is higher and wider than the TVS Apache and also 11 kilograms lighter at the same time.

Price and Launch Date of the BMW G310R in India

The TVS Apache RR 310 cousin is launching in a couple of weeks in India and will be priced competitively as promised by BMW. There have been ongoing rumours about the G310R being more affordable than the Apache since it is a global product but we believe BMW might not go that way. However, the G310R is the smallest motorcycle in the company’s line up and since it is manufactured here in India itself we expect the pricing to be really cut throat.

The TVS Apache RR310 was launched at a starting price of 2.05 Lakh Rupees in India and since the G310R was developed similarly we can expect similar pricing. Expect BMW to price the bike between 2.5-3.3 Lakhs in India when it launches in January, 2018.
