University Grants Commission has released an official notification inviting the nominations for the post of Deputy Director for the year 2018. Although the vacancy has to be filled on the deputation basis on Foreign Service terms in 2018. Whereas the selected candidates for the post will get a pay in between Rs. 67,700 – Rs. 2,08,700 per month depending on the eligibility and experience of the selected candidate. Although the selected candidate for the UGC Deputy Director post-2018 will have to work on a 1-year deputation basis, further the time period will be extended by analysing the work.
As far as the eligibility criteria of the candidate for the Deputy Director post is concerned, one must possess a degree from recognised University and 5 years of experience in Cash, Budget, Accounts work in Govt office or have passed SAS or equivalent exam.
