Xiaomi Mi Max and Mi Max Prime Get The Global Nightly Stable Update For MIUI 9

Xiaomi have started rolling out MIUI 9 global nightly update for some users of the Xiaomi Mi Max and the Mi Prime and all the users are expected to get this soon. It has been a busy month for Xiaomi India with the launch of new devices in the country and the roll out for the MIUI 9 for compatible devices. The Xiaomi Mi Max and Mi Max Prime were in the third list of devices which were supposed to get the MIUI 9 update and the roll out has started in the form of Global nighltly stable update.

What to expect in the Xiaomi Mi Max and Mi Max Prime MIUI 9 update?

The MIUI 9 stable update for Xiaomi Mi Max and Mi Max Prime brings a host of new features which will change the way you interact with your devices. Earlier this week Xiaomi announced that the beta updates for all the smartphones have been canceled due to the Home launcher consistently crashing.

The MIUI 9 update for the Xiaomi Mi Max and Mi Max Prime brings improved icons that fit well into the overall look and feel of the smart phones and give a more upmarket feel. An option called the quick app switch will allow you to double tap on the recent apps button and switch between the current and the last used app.

Although the Split screen multitasking functionality was added to Android Nougat update itself earlier this year, the Xiaomi devices will get it in the form of MIUI 9 update. The Xiaomi Mi Max and Mi Max Prime will also get improved notification centre and shortcuts can now be easily accessed from the lock screen as well.

Few users of the Xiaomi Mi Max and the Mi Max Prime will get the stable MIUI 9 update in form of a nightly update and if the feedback from these users remains largely positive, Xiaomi will roll out the update to all the users provided no critical bugs are reported. The MIUI 9 nightly stable update for the Xiaomi Mi Max and Mi Max Prime users is 639 MB in size.
