Xiaomi is all set to launch its new S series of Smartphone. The first phone of Xiaomi in its S series will be Xiaomi Redmi S2. According to the teaser posted on Weibo, the new S series smartphone of Xiaomi i.e Redmi S2 will launch on May 10. This smartphone is the first smartphone in new S series of Xiaomi. The teaser of the smartphone also shows the rear panel of the phone. The rear panel of the Redmi S2 smartphone looks similar to the rear panel of Redmi Note 5 Pro.
From the teaser poster, it is also expected that the new phone Redmi S2 will be exclusive via Suning.com in China. There are also some rumors that the phone will also be soon launched in India but it is not clear yet that whether Xiaomi will launch the Redmi S2 in India soon or not.
Xiaomi Redmi S2 Expected Specifications
Xiaomi Redmi S2 has recently spotted on the Certification website TEENA. According to the new listing of the phone, the phone has two variants with model number M1803E6T and M1803E6C. According to the listing, the phone will have Android Oreo 8.1 operating system. The phone will have 5.99-inches display. The resolution of the display is 720×1440 pixels.
The smartphone will have an octa-core processor. The phone will have three 3RAM options i.e 2GB, 3GB and 4GB. The internal storage of the phone will be 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB. The internal storage of the phone is expandable via microSD card up to 256GB.
Coming to the camera specifications of the phone, there will be a dual rear camera with a 12MP primary sensor and a 5MP primary sensor. for the selfies and video calling there will be a 16MP front camera. the phone also has fingerprint sensor at the back. The fingerprint sensor is clearly seen in the poster of the phone. It is said that Redmi S2 smartphone will have a 3000mAh battery.
