Punjab has witnessed another gang rape case and this time it’s horrifying. More than 880 rape cases were registered in Punjab in 2015. The Ludhiana police arrested a woman for criminal conspiracy and also two of her friends. The two friends were arrested for gang-raping her minor daughter. The Ludhiana police told the court that the two men were raping the minor girl since past five months.
The minor girl was raped and had also got pregnant, got her foetus aborted. The police arrested three of them including the woman and her two friends. The woman drugged her 16-year-old daughter and later the two friends raped her.
Minor Girl Gang-Raped in Ludhiana
The medical report of the 16-year-old showed that she got her 3-month-old foetus aborted. The investigating officer ASI (Assistant sub-inspector) said that they are investigating when and where did the girl get her foetus aborted. He said that strict action will be taken against the hospital authorities for doing such a thing.
The ASI said that the woman and two of her friends were produced in the Jagraon (sub-division of Ludhiana district, Punjab) court. They have been sent to a two-day police demand. The 16-year-old girl was being raped by the two men for more than five months.
How The 16-year-old Victim Break Her Silence
The 16-year-old girl called up her grandfather on Monday night and told him that his daughter drugged her. The 16-year-old girl was locked in the house by her mother and two of her mother’s friends. Both the men raped her for more than five months.
After she narrated everything to her grandfather, he immediately rushed to her house and called the Ludhiana police. Her grandfather said that the 16-year-old girl’s mother did this to take a revenge from him and her husband. Her mother wanted to take a revenge as they were not in favour of her relationship with a villager.
A case has been registered against three of them under the Sections 376-D (gang-rape), 328 (giving intoxicating substance) and 120-B (criminal conspiracy) of the Indian Penal Code by Ludhiana Police.
