The Union Public Service Commission in its first ever initiative introduced application withdrawal facility for UPSC 2019 aspirants. Beginning with the years’ first exam, UPSC ESE 2019, the Commission is all set to launch the application withdrawal facility for applicants from October 29, 2018. This is a mutually symbiotic decision. This includes candidates who wish to get their candidature cancelled and save their attempts can do so. Also, authorities will save their energy and resources spent on those who do not turn up on the day of examination after applying for UPSC exams online.
Union Public Service Commission plans to bring many such more initiatives due course of time. In other such areas, UPSC plans to increase the dialogue and communication related to exams with candidates. Also, such an increase in exam related communication, promotion of open dialogue and online transactions will reduce candidates’ stress.

UPSC plans to make the entire process a simpler one in terms of conducting, recruiting etc. Therefore, UPSC aspires to make the entire process more user-friendly. Further, UPSC Exams plans to shift from ‘pen-and-paper mode’ to ‘computer-based tests.’
This will also cut down the timeline for which Union Public Service Commission conducts an entire exam. The Commission has taken up several measures in bringing transparency in the system. UPSC now discloses the ranks and scores of non-recommended candidates publicly online. Moreover, A new portal of ‘National Career Services’ and its linking with exams is surely a great step towards better accountability in UPSC exams.
Also, the UPSC observed a crunch in recruitment due to lack of vacancies initially. UPSC plans to do away with the same by sharing the data base of candidates who clear prestigious exams like Civil Services, Engineering Services, Combined Medical Services etc. with other PSUs & private jobs. This way candidates will have better job opportunities and reduced stress.
