Airtel 4G voLTE services have begun rolling out in the country gradually but there were still a number of places where the 4G technology had not been able to reach. Taking care of this, Airtel had announced a new Project Leap under which the telecom operator was to take its connectivity to untouched regions of the country. As a result, the Northern most parts of India including areas of Kargil, Leh and Ladakh have finally got high speed connectivity for the first time in the form of Airtel 4G.
Airtel 4G reaches Kargil, Dras, Leh, and Ladakh: First 4G Network in this region
Airtel 4G has finally reached sparsely populated areas of Northern India like Leh and Ladakh along with 130 other towns and cities. These areas have pretty extreme climate conditions and the terrain makes it tough for a telecom operator to deploy its services. But Airtel has been committed under its Project Leap initiative to reach all corners of the country.
Airtel is the first operator to deploy 4G services here, where half the competition has no presence at all whatsoever. Airtel has invested 60,000 Crore Indian Rupees in Project Leap which will ensure that Airtel has connectivity not just in major towns and cities but even the most rural parts of India. It is to be noted that Airtel 4G services in Leh and Ladakh, basically all areas of Jammu and Kashmir will not work unless you have a postpaid connection from J&K itself.

The presence of Airtel 4G in areas of Kargil, Leh, and Ladakh means that if you are a social media buff and like to post pictures of your trip on the go, you can now do that with the high-speed 4G connectivity from the operator.
Places like Kargil War Memorial, Magnetic Hill, Thiksey Monastery and many more famous tourist spots in the valley now have Airtel 4G connectivity. Airtel is also looking to take on JIO 4G with the introduction of its 4G voLTE services that will soon begin rolling out in India.
