Just to excel in the tough competition of the showbiz world, the actors in Bollywood are going to any extent of increasing or decreasing their body sizes as per the script of their movies. Here we tell you tales of a few Bollywood actors who had grown to 100 kgs or have gone to size zero just to appeal their audiences and fans without even caring about the health hazards that can come along with their drastic body transformations.

Bollywood actors and their recent body transformations

Salman Khan

Bollywood’s bhaijaan, Salman Khan was known as one of the actors to have the hottest and the fittest body in the industry until he decided to put on kilos for his blockbuster movie Sultan. To play the character of a wrestler in Sultan, Salman Khan had grown himself like a Hulk by just hogging onto high-calorie food and no exercise. Though his hard work of only eating and resting has paid him off with accolades and success of the film Sultan, it was quite tough for Salman Khan to again come back to his shape to start shooting for his next movie Tubelight without losing any muscle.

Amir Khan

Bollywood actor, Mr. Perfectionist, Amir Khan leaves no stone unturned to get into the character that he plays in his movies. Remember how he first build six pack ab type body for Ghajini, then he again became lean to look like a college student for the movie 3 Idiots, then again he built his muscle to look robust for the movie Dhoom 3 and off lately, he had grown a pot belly and grey beard to play the character of a retired wrestler, Mahavir Singh Phogat and had again transformed into an athletic body by the movie was completed so that he could promote his movie as a fit actor.

Kareena Kapoor

The famous size zero body in India was introduced by Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor alias Bebo way back in 2008 while she was shooting for the movie Tashan. There was also news that Bebo fainted a lot many times during the shoot as she was on hard core diet plan and was only surviving on liquid. As an actor, Bebo always influences the masses especially girls who follow her as their idols. Lot many girls in India went anorexic to achieve size zero like Kareena Kapoor, but this look wasn’t something to last long as it had many health hazards. Kareena retrieved back to normal and asked her fans also not to follow such a crash diet, which is unhealthy.

Randeep Hooda

Bollywood actor, Randeep Hooda has given us some of the finest films but he went insane when he did movie Sarabjit. This actor, in a two months time, not only lost oodles of weight but looked immensely weak and fragile to portray the character of Sarabjit who was imprisoned and tortured to his core. During his drastic body transformation, his sister, who is also a renowned Nutritionist and a Dietician stayed with him on and off, to have a close look on his health. Randeep Hooda who was not at all overweight before body transformation, dangered himself to death just to render a role of a prisoner. Randeep took over two months to come back to his normal size because after the strenuous diet he could hardly eat anything.

Bhumi Pednekar

Bhumi Pednekar is just two movies (second is her upcoming movie-Toilet: Ek Prem Katha) old in Bollywood and as an actor, she has excelled in delivering her 100 % every time.  Bhumi Pednekar was an Assistant casting Director for Yash Raj Films for many but suddenly life went an upside down when she got an offer to do the movie Dum Laga Ke Haisha opposite, Aayushman Khurana. For the movie, filmmakers asked Bhumi that she needs to look like an 80-90 kgs woman and that to she had to grow up to that size in a month’s time. To look big in size, Bhumi ate lots of Pizza, Pasta, Burgers, Cold- drinks and all the calorie rich food day and night. In a month and a half she achieved her goal but by the end movie’s shooting, she had come down to her original size she went through rigorous weight training and a diet plan.

Rajkumar Rao

Well, Rajkumar Rao is one Bollywood actor who has a fit, athletic body but he also went through various drastic body transformations just for his movies. Lately, he had appeared in the movie Behen Hogi Teri for which he had to don a cool dude look with 6 pack ab and a muscular body. But before that movie happened, Rajkumar Kumar went on to look like a man half dead with no food and water for the movie trapped. He decided to achieve such look as he wanted to portray a man who gets trapped in an empty apartment where no one comes to his rescue for many days. But now, Rakumar Kumar’s new images are going viral on social media where he has grown a pot belly for his upcoming movie ‘Bose’.

I hope all the fans of the Bollywood actors will understand that these drastic body transformations are not at all healthy and they do it for their career and earning. No one should follow such a strict and unhealthy form of either losing or gaining weight as you can put your lives at risk. Remember, these Bollywood actors do such body transformation under the able guidance of nutritionists, dieticians and fitness instructors.
